The following example shows the difference between an e-mail request to perform a task and a Task Manager request.
E-Mail Request:
From: Joe Bloggs To: Mary Jones
Mary, Ray from Coretime Computing has been on the phone looking for the Coretime.com projections for 2008-2009. Can you work on them and revert when completed.
Thanks,
Joe.
The e-mail request arrives on Mary's desk. Mary may read it, but progress on the task is not known by Tom. He inevitably sends more e-mails asking for progress updates.

Can you complete please? |
The task arrives on Mary's task page within her time recording module.
She can log time and add notes to the task. Any work done on the task is immediately available to Tom.
Should Mary be unavailable for any reason, Tom can get up-to-the-minute progress information on the task status by clicking into his original request to Mary, and then clicking Time Spent.
