Aged WIP Report

The Aged WIP Report produces an aged analysis of unbilled time and expenses for a span of time.

A visual representation of this report is available in the Dashboard.

It can be printed for individual clients, a range of clients or all clients.

Select Reports in the left-hand pane.

Click Business in the left-hand pane.

Click Aged WIP in the left-hand pane.

The Aged Work in Progress Report screen opens in the main workspace. Specify the report options you require.

Report Option	Description
Include zero WIP values	This option includes projects that use zero WIP values.
WIP at Cost	This option specifies that the report should show cost WIP amounts rather than chargeable WIP amounts.
Show Client Only	This option specifies that the report should exclude project details.
Progress Billing Column	Progress billing relates to Interim Fees.
Include WIP values above	If you specify a value in this field, the Aged WIP report will show only balances that exceed it.
Report Filters tab	The report can also be filtered by client or by analysis group (if you use analysis groups). Expand the relevant view to apply a filtering condition. For example, suppose that you use the analysis group Manager. There are several managers, and each one is associated with one or more projects. You can generate an Aged WIP Report for projects associated with a particular manager only.
Repeat Groups (in the Grouping tab)	The Repeat Groups option enables you to generate a separate Aged WIP report for each member of an analysis group. Suppose that you select the Manager analysis group in the Repeat Groups section of the Grouping tab. The report will be generated separately for each member of the Manager analysis group.

Click Submit to generate the report.

Contents of the report

The Aged WIP report includes the following information:

Column	Description
Client	The client name.
Project	The project name. This is hyperlinked so that you can quickly access the relevant project's WIP tab.
UB Time	Unbilled time, either as a value or "at cost", depending on whether the WIP at Cost report option is selected (see above).
UB Expense Value/Cost	Unbilled expenses, either as a value or "at cost", depending on whether the WIP at Cost report option is selected (see above).
Progress Billing	This type of billing takes into account only financial items where the tagged amount is zero.
Untaken Profit	Amount of profit on an invoice not yet realised.
WIP	WIP = 'Time & Carried Forwards' + 'Expense & Outlay' - 'Invoices & Fee Notes' - 'Credit Notes' - 'Write-Offs' + 'Profits'
Aged (6 periods)	The WIP values associated with each ageing period.
