Overtime
To record overtime, you need to set up overtime rates.
You can use up to two overtime rates for an employee in their Employee Details.
You grant a user the right to record overtime in their User Profile.
Enabling Overtime and Setting up Overtime Rates
- Click Edit in the left-hand pane.
- Click Employees in the left-hand pane, and then select the relevant employee in the right-hand pane.
- In the User Profile tab, select the Separate Worktypes checkbox.
- In the Additional tab, select the Apply O/T checkbox.
- Specify Overtime Rate 1 and 2 in the relevant fields. These should be specified as percentages. For example, time-and-a-half would be expressed as 150.
- If the cost of the overtime should be increased to the overtime percentage, select the Apply Emp Cost checkbox.
You have enabled overtime and set up overtime rates.

The following reports provide information about recorded overtime:
- Job Report (Project Reports).
- Productivity: Overtime v Time in Lieu (Employee Reports).
- Employee Activity (Employee Reports).
