STAGE 3: Setting up Supervisors
Before an employee can carry out supervisor tasks, he/she needs to be:
- Given supervisor system access.
- Assigned to the relevant employees.
Giving an Employee Supervisor System Access
- Open the Edit view in the left-hand pane.
- Click Employees in the left-hand pane.
- The Employees window opens in the main workspace. Select the employee whom you want to grant supervisor system access, and click EDIT.
- Open the User Profile tab.
- Select the Approve Time and Approve Expenses checkboxes.
- Deselect the View All Employee Time checkbox.
- Click Submit.
This employee now has supervisor system access.
Assigning a Supervisor to an Employee
Now that you have granted the employee the necessary supervisor system access, you are ready to assign them as other employees' supervisor.
- Open the Edit view in the left-hand pane.
- Click the Employees view in the left-hand pane.
- The Employees window opens in the main workspace. Select the employee whom you want to assign the supervisor you just set up, and click EDIT.
- Open the Analysis Groups tab.
- Select the relevant supervisor in the Supervisor drop-down list.
- Click Submit.
The select employee has been assigned a supervisor.
