STAGE 3: Setting up Supervisors

This is Stage 3 of the Approval process in Coretime.

Before an employee can carry out supervisor tasks, he/she needs to be:

Giving an Employee Supervisor System Access

  1. Open the Edit view in the left-hand pane.
  2. Click Employees in the left-hand pane.
  3. The Employees window opens in the main workspace. Select the employee whom you want to grant supervisor system access, and click EDIT.
  4. Open the User Profile tab.
  5. Select the Approve Time and Approve Expenses checkboxes.
  6. Deselect the View All Employee Time checkbox.
  7. Click Submit.

This employee now has supervisor system access.

Assigning a Supervisor to an Employee

Now that you have granted the employee the necessary supervisor system access, you are ready to assign them as other employees' supervisor.

  1. Open the Edit view in the left-hand pane.
  2. Click the Employees view in the left-hand pane.
  3. The Employees window opens in the main workspace. Select the employee whom you want to assign the supervisor you just set up, and click EDIT.
  4. Open the Analysis Groups tab.
  5. Select the relevant supervisor in the Supervisor drop-down list.
  6. Click Submit.

The select employee has been assigned a supervisor.
