Job Report

This report provides a detailed analysis of WIP movement for a single project. It replicates much of the detail included in the WIP Review screen.

  1. To open the report setup screen, open the Reports view in the left-hand pane.
  2. Click Project in the left-hand pane.
  3. Click Job Report in the left-hand pane.
  4. The report setup window opens in the main desktop. Specify the relevant report options.

  5. Click Submit to generate the report.

Report Sections

The Job Report can contain a number of sections, depending on which report options you have selected (see above).

Report Section Description
Time Items

This section provides a list of all time items recorded against the project in the relevant span of time.

  • Cost: The Cost column contains the cost to the business of the employee carrying out the work.
  • Charge-Out Rate/Value: The rate at which the cost is charged to the client, and the amount charged to the client for the time worked. This rate value does not take into account of whether the project uses a budget with a different rate.
Expense Items

This section provides a list of all time items recorded against the project in the relevant span of time.

  • Cost: Cost to the business of the expense.
  • Cost Rate: The unit cost to the business of the expense.
  • Charge-Out Rate: The rate charged to the client for the expense.
  • Local: The system's base currency.
Currency Summary Report

This section supplements the Expense Items section. It provides the value of the expenses total from that section in each currency set up in the system.

  • Ex Rate: The exchange rate of the relevant currency against the system's base currency.
Employee Summary Report

This section provides a breakdown by employee of the total hours worked on the relevant project in the specified span of time.

  • Hours: Total hours worked.
  • Value: Total amount chargeable to the client for these hours worked.
  • Expense: Total expense amount logged by the employee for the project.
  • Cost: The cost to the business of the employee performing the work.
Activity Summary Report

This section provides a breakdown by activity of the work done on the project.

  • Hours: Total number of hours spend performing this activity in the project in the relevant span of time.
  • Value: Total amount chargeable to the client on the relevant activity.
  • Cost: Total cost to the business of employees performing this activity in the project in the relevant span of time.
Billing Items Report

This section provides a breakdown of all Non-WIP and WIP transactions associated with the project in the relevant span of time.

It compares the totals to determine a Balance of Work in Progress value.

Aged Summary Report This section provides a breakdown of hours worked and the value of work done by each employee in regular time periods within the relevant span of time.
Time and Chargeout Summaries Report

This section summarises activity time by providing a total for each employee position.

The Total Value column shows the employee charge-out total value for each activity.

The Average Hourly Rate column shows the following value for each position:

Average Hourly Rate = Total Value / Total Hours

Expense and Chargeout Report This section provides a breakdown of all expenses recorded against the project in the relevant span of time, specifying the cost to the business of each expense, and the amount charged to the client.
Phase Summary Report

This section provides a breakdown by project phase of the following amounts:

  • Hours: The number of hours worked in the relevant project phase in the relevant span of time.
  • Value: The amount charged to the client for the work done in the relevant project phase in the relevant span of time.
  • Expense: The total expenses logged in the relevant project phase in the relevant span of time.
  • Cost: The cost to the business of the work done in the relevant project phase in the relevant span of time.
